Lazzie Human Rights, Modern Slavery and Supply Chain Due Diligence Statement
In compliance with applicable European Union requirements on corporate sustainability due diligence, supply chain responsibility, human rights, environmental protection and the prevention of forced labour, Lazzie is committed to conducting its business in a socially responsible, ethical and transparent manner.
Lazzie respects internationally recognised labour, human rights, environmental and ethical standards. We expect the same commitment from all suppliers, manufacturers, contractors, business partners and service providers involved in the production, sourcing, logistics or delivery of Lazzie products.
Lazzie and its suppliers are expected to provide safe working conditions, treat workers with dignity and respect, act fairly and ethically, and apply environmentally responsible practices wherever products are manufactured or services are performed for Lazzie.
Lazzie requires its suppliers to operate in accordance with the principles set out in this statement, our Supplier Code of Conduct where applicable, and all applicable laws and regulations in the countries and regions where they operate. This includes, where applicable, European Union regulations and directives relating to human rights, forced labour, environmental responsibility, supply chain due diligence and sustainability reporting.
This statement will be reviewed and updated periodically as part of Lazzie’s continuous improvement approach to responsible sourcing and corporate due diligence.
Responsibility Standards
1. Labour and Human Rights
1.1 Prohibition of Child Labour
Lazzie does not tolerate any form of child labour in its operations or supply chain.
Lazzie and its suppliers shall employ only workers who are at least 15 years of age, or the applicable legal minimum age for employment, or the applicable age for completion of compulsory education, whichever is higher.
The employment of workers under the age of 18 shall not interfere with schooling or vocational training and shall not involve work that is hazardous, unsafe or inappropriate for young workers.
Suppliers must maintain reliable age-verification procedures and employment records to ensure compliance with applicable child labour laws.
1.2 Elimination of Forced Labour and Human Trafficking
Lazzie does not tolerate forced labour, bonded labour, prison labour, debt bondage, human trafficking, slavery, servitude or any other form of abusive or illegal labour in its supply chain.
All work must be voluntary. Workers must be free to leave employment in accordance with applicable law and must not be required to surrender identity documents, passports, work permits or personal belongings as a condition of employment.
Suppliers shall not use recruitment practices that involve deception, coercion, excessive recruitment fees, unlawful wage deductions, restriction of movement or threats of penalty.
Lazzie expects suppliers to take reasonable steps to identify, prevent and address risks of forced labour in their own operations and supply chains.
1.3 Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining
Lazzie respects workers’ rights to freedom of association and collective bargaining in accordance with applicable local laws and internationally recognised labour standards.
Workers shall have the right to form, join or not join trade unions or other worker organisations without fear of intimidation, retaliation, harassment or discrimination.
Where workers’ representatives are elected or appointed, suppliers shall allow them to perform their duties lawfully and peacefully and shall not discriminate against them.
1.4 Prevention of Discrimination and Harassment
Lazzie is committed to diversity, equal opportunity and inclusion in the workplace.
Lazzie does not tolerate discrimination, harassment, intimidation or abusive treatment based on gender, race, colour, nationality, ethnic origin, religion or belief, age, disability, marital status, pregnancy, sexual orientation, political opinion, trade union membership, veteran status or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
Suppliers shall provide a workplace free from physical, psychological, verbal and sexual harassment.
1.5 Working Hours, Wages and Benefits
Suppliers shall comply with all applicable laws relating to working hours, overtime, rest days, wages, benefits, social insurance and paid leave.
Workers shall be paid at least the legal minimum wage and shall receive all legally required benefits. Overtime must be voluntary where required by law and compensated in accordance with applicable regulations.
Wage deductions shall not be used as a disciplinary measure unless permitted by applicable law.
1.6 Health and Safety
Suppliers shall provide workers with a safe, clean and healthy working environment.
This includes appropriate fire safety measures, safe machinery and equipment, proper handling of chemicals, adequate ventilation, personal protective equipment where required, emergency exits, first-aid arrangements, clean drinking water and access to sanitary facilities.
Suppliers are expected to identify workplace hazards, reduce health and safety risks, and provide workers with appropriate training.
2. Environmental Responsibility
Lazzie recognises the importance of environmental protection and responsible resource use. We expect our suppliers to comply with applicable environmental laws and to work towards reducing the environmental impact of their operations.
Suppliers shall, where applicable, ensure compliance with the following principles:
2.1 Environmental Permits and Compliance
Suppliers shall obtain, maintain and comply with all required environmental permits, licences, registrations and approvals.
2.2 Water Use and Wastewater Treatment
Suppliers shall manage water responsibly and treat industrial wastewater in accordance with applicable laws before discharge.
2.3 Air Emissions
Suppliers shall control and monitor air emissions generated by production processes and comply with applicable emission standards.
2.4 Waste and Hazardous Substances
Suppliers shall properly identify, label, store, handle, transport and dispose of waste and hazardous substances.
Suppliers shall seek to reduce waste generation and promote reuse, recycling and safe disposal wherever possible.
2.5 Resource Efficiency
Suppliers are encouraged to reduce the consumption of raw materials, water, energy and natural resources through efficient production practices.
2.6 Responsible Material Sourcing
Where applicable, suppliers shall source materials responsibly and avoid materials associated with illegal practices, severe human rights abuses, environmental harm or conflict financing.
3. Ethical Business Conduct
3.1 Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption
Lazzie does not tolerate bribery, corruption, extortion, fraud or unethical business conduct.
Suppliers shall not offer, promise, give, request or accept bribes, kickbacks, improper payments or other improper advantages in connection with Lazzie business.
3.2 Fair Competition
Suppliers shall conduct business in compliance with applicable competition and antitrust laws.
3.3 Transparency and Record Keeping
Suppliers shall maintain accurate records relating to employment, wages, working hours, safety, environmental compliance and product production.
Lazzie may request relevant documentation to verify compliance with this statement.
3.4 Confidentiality and Data Protection
Suppliers shall protect confidential business information and comply with applicable data protection and privacy laws where personal data is collected, processed or transferred.
4. Corporate Due Diligence
Lazzie is committed to continuously improving its due diligence processes to identify, prevent, reduce and address potential adverse impacts on workers, communities, human rights and the environment.
Lazzie’s due diligence approach may include:
- supplier assessment and onboarding review;
- supplier questionnaires and compliance declarations;
- risk-based audits or inspections where appropriate;
- corrective action plans for identified issues;
- monitoring of high-risk suppliers or production processes;
- training and communication of supplier requirements;
- review and improvement of internal policies and procedures.
Where Lazzie identifies actual or potential adverse impacts, we will seek to work with suppliers to address the issue. Serious or repeated violations may result in suspension or termination of the business relationship.
5. Grievance Mechanism and Reporting Concerns
Lazzie expects suppliers to maintain accessible, trustworthy and fair grievance mechanisms for workers.
Such mechanisms should include:
- clear information for workers about how to raise concerns;
- a transparent process for handling grievances;
- the possibility to submit concerns confidentially or anonymously where permitted by law;
- protection against retaliation for workers who raise concerns in good faith;
- involvement of worker representatives where appropriate;
- written documentation of grievances and corrective actions.
Workers, suppliers, business partners and other stakeholders may report concerns relating to labour rights, human rights, forced labour, environmental issues or unethical conduct to Lazzie.

6. Supplier Commitment

This statement will be reviewed periodically and updated where necessary to reflect changes in Lazzie’s business, supply chain, due diligence practices and applicable legal requirements.
